Automatic document numbering
When generating documents with Processes in Plumsail Documents, you can assign a unique number to each document using a predefined token.
To do this, insert the {{@number}} token into your document template:
By default, numbering starts at 1 and increments with each run.
You can also use this token in other parts of the process configuration, such as the output file name or deliveries.
To start numbering from a different value, open process settings and enter the previous number in the Document number index field.
The next time the process runs, it will generate the next number in the sequence. For example, if you enter 3, the next generated document will use 4.
