Brief overview of what Thrive Tribe does

Thrive Tribe is dedicated to helping individuals improve their well-being by offering services such as weight loss programs and smoking cessation. The company’s use of Microsoft technologies, particularly Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, is integral to delivering seamless services. By automating various processes using tools like Power Automate, Thrive Tribe aims to make its operations more efficient and its programs more accessible.

Limitations of Microsoft Forms and switch to Plumsail

Prior to adopting Plumsail Forms, Thrive Tribe predominantly used Microsoft Forms, which offered limited flexibility. Microsoft Forms lacked the integration capabilities and customization options that Thrive Tribe required to manage its dynamic processes. The switch to Plumsail Forms provided the company with the necessary tools to automate workflows, integrate APIs, and enhance its service offerings, especially in terms of user data collection.

If I'm being completely honest, when I came into the company, they were predominantly using Plumsail Forms. But from what I've heard before I came in, I believe they were using Microsoft Forms more predominantly, which gave them less freedom in kind of what they did.

How forms are used to gather referrals

One of the main uses of Plumsail Forms at Thrive Tribe is the collection of referrals. The forms allow individuals to self-refer by inputting personal information, including , their date of birth, any disabilities, health conditions, mental health conditions, anything that would be useful for us to use within our database, and submit it through a user-friendly interface.

Once submitted, the data is transferred to Thrive Tribe’s Dataverse CRM. Plumsail Form's ability to integrate with Power Automate comes in handy, streamlining the process and eliminating manual data entry.

Custom solutions with Plumsail Forms

As the company used more forms and needed more complex solutions, following scenarios were implemented with the help of Plumsail support team.

Show or hide form fields depending on family size

On one of our forms, we needed to collect information about children, and quite a lot of it. The problem is that not every family has children, and the number of children is always different, so we needed to find a way to get as much information as possible without overwhelming the form with too many fields.

With the help of Plumsail team, we've managed to hide sections of the form which were unnecessary if the number of children was less than 4, and only show as many fields as necessary. Performance remained stable no matter how many fields we've added, so it wasn't a problem at all.

Postcode validation with Dataverse CRM

Another important feature for our forms is the ability to dynamically validate entered post codes, to see if the referral is from an area where we're operating or not.

Postcode check on the form

Plumsail support team has helped us to create an Azure function which connects to our Dataverse CRM, and checks the eligibility of the post code right on the form. This took time, but was definitely worth the effort.

Overall Plumsail experience

Thrive Tribe's experience with Plumsail web forms has been highly positive. The combination of seamless integration with the Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, responsive customer support, and a wide range of features has made it an essential tool for the company. By automating data collection and improving the flexibility of its processes, the company is better equipped to deliver its services to individuals seeking healthier lifestyles.

Thrive Tribe has been extremely satisfied with the support provided by Plumsail. Howdang Rashid highlights the responsiveness of Plumsail’s customer service, which ensures that any issues or questions are addressed promptly, often within the same day. This level of support has been crucial, especially given the tight deadlines the company often works with.

Furthermore, Plumsail's continuous innovation stands out as a key benefit. The company regularly updates its functionality, adding new features and enhancing existing ones, and actively responds to customers needs, which allows Thrive Tribe to get the most out of their forms.

Howdang Rashid
Just to summarise, I would definitely say that the support is amazing to us. The fact that the company is always trying to stay innovative, adding new functionality and features, and of course, their adaptability to our environments and the stack that we work with, I'd say is definitely the top 3 for me.
