Generate custom PDF invoices and other documents from Microsoft Dynamics CRM in Power Automate

From this article, you will learn how to extract Dynamics entity information to PDF files. We illustrated it by the case of creating PDF invoices from a Dynamics CRM order. Here is how the resulting invoice might look:


To go over the below steps, you need a Plumsail account to be able to use a document generation tool from Plumsail Documents in Power Automate Flow.

Flow description

The Flow triggers on a selected order in Dynamics CRM:


Then we make a query to pull details on products related to the order:


And after we’ve got all the needed data from D365 CRM, we start the document generation process in Plumsail Documents:


Exported entity information populates our invoice template. In the end, we’ll receive the resulting invoice in PDF format.
