Assign ticket on creation

Can I use a trigger to assign a ticket to a specific tech/user when the ticket is created?

Say I have a task scan for a specific word in the topic, then set the assigned to to a user based on that?

I can get it to send out an email based on that, but the Set field -> Assigned to fails.

Yes, you can assign a ticket to a specific user whether the ticket is creatied by sending an email or manually.

Please, adjust the trigger settings according to the screenshot below:
