Create list item in any site

Having two issues with this action:

1) What is right dictionary syntax for a destination column that has a space in the name (e.g., Start Date). Am getting error message: Exception: Column 'Start Date' does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user. Columns without a space in the name work fine.

2) Is it possible to create an item with a populated 'People' type column? If so, what is the right dictionary syntax? Am getting error message: Exception: Invalid data has been used to update the list item. The field you are trying to update may be read only.

Thanks for good questions.

1. Please open List Settings, scroll down to column list and click on the column with white space. Next please pay attention at URL string, you should see something like on screenshot below:

In that case field internal name is Test_x0020_Field_x0020_with_x0020_whitespace

2. To setup a value in SPUser field you can just specify a user ID, please see sample below:
